Ibish On Irshad Manji & Other Assorted Nuts

December 20, 2011

Not only has Ibish’s strategy of presenting himself as a defender of Arabs and Muslims by taking on the lunatic fringe failed, it has also contributed to legitimizing the mainstream racists and extremists. It’s Ibish’s friends, collaborators, co-authors, partners in “peace”, and ATFP gala keynote speakers that are most troubling for the Arab and Muslim communities, not Manji and the other assorted nuts.   Read More »

James Zogby: “I Was Invited”

December 15, 2011

James Zogby, the poster boy for all that’s wrong for what passes as an “Arab Lobby” in Washington DC, has pursued a comfortable, air-conditioned career as the self-appointed spokesperson for the Arab-American community. An unprincipled, career opportunist pursuing petty ambitions and false prestige, this cheap political prostitute for the State Department (which organizes most of his appearances in the Arab world) and the Arab oil-Sheiks of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates maintains a busy social calendar which he wants us to believe is a sign of Arab-American political empowerment.  The following are a few entries that establish a pattern we have discovered in his writings and talks. When we stopped we still had over 20 more examples we could have included, but the following should suffice: Read More »

1 Of Only 3 Known Arab Zionists Nominated For Ikhras Shoe Of The Month Award

December 12, 2011

Ikhras reader and friend Suha Deeb submitted the following video in support of her nomination for the December Shoe Of The Month Award. After 63 years the usurping Zionist entity in Palestine has been able to win the hearts and minds of three Arabs, including Ray Hanania. This is one of them. The person in this video is from occupied Palestine 48, describes Israel as a democracy, rejects characterizing the Israeli entity (which she describes as “my country”) as racist, and is a volunteer with Stand With Us, a Zionist propaganda outfit.

Nasser On Socialism, The Muslim Brotherhood, & Islam

December 9, 2011

[Ikhras Note: Gamal Abdul Nasser's words in this video are just as relevant today as they were at the time they were spoken. Freedom, justice, and human emancipation will not be achieved by reactionary forces or those that have turned religion, democracy, and human rights into meaningless slogans shouted out loud to deflect attention from their self-serving collaboration with Western governments. They will only be realized as part of the workers and oppressed Arab masses' continuing struggle against capitalism, imperialism, reactionary forces, and Zionism. Contrary to what a few celebrity "revolutionaries" and spoiled liberal brats tell Western journalists, the struggle for freedom and social justice is intrinsically linked to the struggle against neo-liberalism, reactionary forces and their foreign sponsors]

Ray Hanania Goes Private But Ikhras Is There

December 8, 2011

In an effort to conceal his anti-Arab, pro-Zionist rantings in his twitter feed and avoid ikhras’ punishments for any misbehavior, Palestinian-American Zionist and self-proclaimed “ikhras basherRay Hanania has decided to go private.  However, our staff working with the technical support team monitors all Zionist activities so we can report them to the public and heighten political awareness.  The ikhras group will continue to ignore the venom directed towards us personally, but will also continue to exercise its right to report on the activities of anti-Arab/Muslim individuals and hate groups dedicated to the destruction of Palestine. Ray, you can’t hide your pro-Zionist tweets from ikhras and the community or avoid the consequences of any misbehavior as evident by the above snapshot of your latest cheap shot at ikhras taken after you went private.  وراك وراك و الزمن طويل Get someone to translate and explain that for you.  When they do remember its not pronounced “Waah Rock…Waah Rock…Waah….Zamaaaawn Tuh-Wheeel.”

Just ikhras ya Dean

December 6, 2011

Ikhras informed readers last week, in a post titled Housies’ Appalling Ignorance, that Dean Obeidallah thought Muslims worshiped Jesus and Mary. His follow-up tweet didn’t make matters better. He tried deflecting by blaming his ignorance on Twitter and his audience’s bias.  Indeed, as the Arabic proverb goes, the excuse is more appalling than the offense. For our purposes, this makes us glad that someone this inarticulate works with the Department of State.

@ without getting into syntax, using "worship" is pretty misleading. Just saying "respect" gets the point across

Firas Khateeb
@ I see ur point. If I had more than 140 characters I would have explained it more but was in fight with a Muslim hater on twitter
