The writer of this article is obviously an anti-Muslim bigot and not so subtly suggesting David Ramadan may have ties to Hizballah. Ignoring his laughable suggestion, it is still worth reading. The irony is lost on the writer who doesn’t realize (most likely due to his contempt for Arabs and Muslims) someone who hides in a bathroom oceans away from the battlefield to avoid an interview would never have the courage to pick up a weapon, join a civilian militia, and fight the Israeli occupation army in Lebanon. It’s more reasonable to believe that the former Imad Ramadan, while in Lebanon, would go into hiding with the elderly, children, and some of the women (not all: Lebanese women have bravely fought against the Israeli army) when the Israeli terrorist army invades. Muslims like Ramadan who surrender their self-respect, and dignity hoping to make themselves more appealing to bigots and racists deserve all the humiliation they continue to endure.
The first thing that struck me about David Ramadan, when I met him one recent morning, was how timid he was without a retinue. I’d arrived early, and greeted him with a handshake when he entered the café, by himself. He didn’t slow down, but kept moving, directly to the bathroom.
Fifteen minutes later, when he had yet to emerge, I realized that he was scared of me. Only later did I learn why. Finally, he emerged from the potty, at exactly the same time that two supporters arrived.
